FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 22, 2023
VICTORIA, B.C. — Redheads, Monday night is your night — for you, FREE.
The Victoria HarbourCats want to make up for all the teasing and abuse — really, it’s jealousy, right? — that redheads have taken in life, by welcoming ALL redheads to our game on Monday, July 24, when the REDmond Dudes arrive at Wilson’s Group Stadium at RAP.
After all, we have redheads on our team, on our staff, in our ownership group — and we think their hair hue is divine, and we want to celebrate with them!
The night is sponsored by — you guessed it — our official craft beer partner, Red Arrow Brewing, maker of the highly popular Ballpark Blonde Ale.
“Redheads are always being singled out, even picked on — we want to have some fun with them, but NOT at their expense for once,” said Jim Swanson of the HarbourCats. “Some of our best players have been redheads — looking at you, Griffin Andreychuk and Russell Young — and we’re proud of our redheads.”
How does this work? Simple. If you’re a redhead — you get in free, so come to the team office at 1814 Vancouver Street, or to the ticket booth that night, and you’ll get a free ticket. Of course, we want to see those red locks, and we may ask for a photo of all the redheads enjoying the game, too!
This free ticket offer is not available on-line, so to take advantage, purchase tickets in advance at the HarbourCats office at 101-1814 Vancouver Street, or come to the gate on Monday, starting at 5:30 pm to get your tickets there.
All other hues of hair my purchase tickets in advance at https://harbourcats.com/tickets.
NOTE: VOUCHER EXCHANGES – Anyone with General Admission, Premium Reserved or Grandstad Reserved Ticket Vouchers, please note these will need to be redeemed on or before our last regular season home game on August 3rd. THEY ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR PLAYOFFS and may NOT BE CARRIED OVER to 2024. To avoid congestion at the box office on game days, it is strongly suggested that you exchange vouchers in advance at the HarbourCats office at 101-1814 Vancouver Street.
