HarborCats second baseman Tanner Haney has been a regular in the Victoria infield for the past two summers. The Texas Longhorn has a .260 batting average in 2019, and is heating up recently at the dish—racking up five hits in his previous two games. (Photo: Christian J. Stewart)

In episode eight of the ‘CatCast, Mike Edwards and Josh Kozelj welcome Texas Longhorns second baseman Tanner Haney to the show. Tanner, son of HarbourCats Head Coach Todd (who was the first ever guest on the ‘CatCast), discusses what it’s like being coached by his dad and having both parents up in Victoria for the summer. Also, Tanner talks about Todd’s ejection earlier in the season against Bellingham, and how it inspired the ‘Cats to clinch the First Half pennant the very next day.

The ‘CatCast will be back every week this season featuring in-depth interviews with players and coaches to bring you closer to the 2019 HarbourCats and offer an inside look at what goes on around the team beyond the nine innings
